Project Coordinator/Welder

Description

AES Drilling Fluids is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator/Welder based in San Antonio, TX or Midland, TX to lead and execute field-based construction and maintenance projects. This hands-on role combines welding and fabrication expertise with project management responsibilities to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across multiple sites.

Full-Time, Competitive Pay & Benefits

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction and facility improvement projects from start to finish
• Supervise contractors, vendors, and internal crews on job sites
• Perform advanced welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs
• Travel to project sites (up to 75% travel, mostly within the region)
• Enforce job site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Maintain project documentation and assist in cost control and material procurement

Requirements

• Must reside in Midland, TX or surrounding areas — only local candidates will be considered
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• 5+ years of combined experience in construction, welding/fabrication, and project leadership
• High school diploma or GED required; trade certifications preferred
• Strong welding skills and mechanical knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
