Job Summary
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling all project cost management functions for a large-scale, multi-phase critical electrical EPC data center program. The Sr. Project Cost Controls resource ensures cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, and financial risk mitigation across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project cost reports and forecasts
Establish and track baseline budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecast at completion (FAC)
Perform cost variance analysis (budget vs actual vs forecast)
Support development & management of cost-loaded schedules in coordination with planning
Track and manage commitments, purchase orders, and subcontractor cost performance
Maintain cost coding structure (WBS/COA) aligned with project controls framework
Prepare executive dashboards and cost performance summaries
Identify and track cost risks, exposures, and contingency drawdown
Support change management, impact quantification, and cost of delays
Participate in weekly cost reviews, commercial meetings, and leadership updates
Required Qualifications
7+ years EPC project cost controls experience
Experience supporting large-scale industrial or data center projects
Strong proficiency in:
Experience with projects exceeding $250M value
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills
Hyperscale or mission-critical data center experience preferred
Excel-based cost tracking and financial modeling
Cost forecasting and trending
ERP / financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
