Project Engineer

We are hiring for a Project Engineer to join our team!

BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in land development design and civil engineering. In this role you will independently apply standard civil engineering principles and judgment to a variety of projects, from small-scale developments to major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities: 

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Drainage Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
• preparation of specifications and cost estimates
• Roadway/Street final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections
• Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
• Federal, State, City and County Standards
• Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies
• Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates
• Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects

• 2 - 6 years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works.
• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
• EIT/ FE certification preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!
• Strong communication skills

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.  Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required. 

• The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000- $125,000, annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
