Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead team in preparation of project drawings, calculations and specifications
  


• Prepare analysis, design, calculations, reports, site visits and permit applications
  


• Provide construction assistance
  


• Evaluate land use/zoning requirements
  


• Assist with preparation of proposals and estimates for potential projects
  


• Mentor/train junior staff
  

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  


• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  


• 5+ years of engineering experience
  


• PE License
  


• Experience with unique design/permitting requirements working within the City of Detroit or a similar urban context
  


• Technical experience in mixed-use urban infill, sustainable design and stormwater best management practice
  


• Knowledge of the City of Detroit and surrounding area preferred
  


• Proficient in Civil 3D, SWMM and Excel
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
