Job Description



As a Project Engineer, you will assist the Project Manager and Superintendents in preparing documentation and ensuring smooth project execution from procurement to completion. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.



Responsibilities:



  • Interpret and understand project plans and

  • Gather submittal data and shop drawings from

  • Review subcontractor submittals to ensure compliance with project plans and

  • Utilize software such as Prolog and Submittal Exchange to input and track submittal

  • Obtain and review subcontractor/vendor quotes, submitting them for Project Manager

  • Create and maintain logs using all Specification Sections in coordination with Project Managers and clients.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, ).

  • Order materials and assist with material takeoffs in collaboration with the Site

  • Support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent in scheduling, tracking, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting.

  • Create agendas for weekly meetings and internal project

  • Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and follow through to final

  • Perform other related duties as


Skills:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with project management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to

  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with vendors and team

  • Experience in inventory control and process

Schedule:



  • In – Office, Day Shift

  • 8-hour shift

  • Monday to Friday 7AM – 4PM


Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field (Preferred)


Experience:



  • Project Engineering: 1+ years (Required)

  • Experience with RFI's and Submittal's (Required)

  • Experience with VA/Federal Construction projects (Preferred)


Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times, such as office supplies or small equipment.

  • Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's

  • May be required to do job walks at least once a month, or
