Project Engineer

RTD Talent Solutions is currently representing an established commercial roofing and construction contractor that is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support its project management, operations, and estimating teams.

The ideal candidate will have a background in construction administration, project coordination, or estimating, with an understanding of construction drawings, project documentation, and commercial construction processes. Experience in commercial roofing is highly desirable.

As Project Engineer, you would be responsible for supporting the administrative and technical coordination of construction projects, assisting with project scheduling, documentation, procurement, estimating, and communication between project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Key responsibilities, among others:

• Support project managers with scheduling, coordination, and project administration.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, submittals, permits, and shop drawings.
• Assist with subcontractor onboarding, purchase orders, and material procurement.
• Support project budgeting, cost tracking, and payment requisitions.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Assist estimators with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and pricing analysis.
• Coordinate project closeout documentation, warranties, and final deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Background in construction administration, project coordination, or estimating preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with commercial roofing systems and construction practices is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
