Project Engineer - ARB, Inc.

ARB, Inc. is looking for a construction site liaison to work with engineers, customers, subcontractors, and vendors, driving clear communication and effective coordination across all project stages. Key responsibilities include but not limited to handling civil or mechanical design inquiries, preparing RFIs, and leveraging Bluebeam and 3D modeling software to aid field installation. Partnering with the Project Manager on change management, estimating, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis is needed to ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule and in full compliance with technical, contractual, and client requirements.

Multiple Project Engineer positions with ARB, Inc. in Irvine, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the State of California.

Duties:

1. Serve as the construction site liaison with engineers, customers, constructors, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, project reviews, and other project stakeholder engagements. 


2. Coordinate all civil or mechanical design and engineering-related inquiries in a timely manner to meet project objectives and milestones.


3. Prepare Request for Information sheets describing technical inquiries in civil or mechanical engineering raised by craft personnel with the engineer of record.


4. Utilize Bluebeam and 3D model software to support field installation.


5. Maintain ongoing communication with project stakeholders and ensure that project deliverables meet customer needs and contractual requirements.


6. Enable timely delivery of all project submittals compliant with the contract documents.


7. Facilitate constructability discussions between superintendents and the engineer of record .


8. Manage the document control system per company standards and train all team members.


9. Oversee the tasks of Field Engineers and Document Control staff.


10. Support the Project Manager in change management and estimating with scope definitions,  quantity take offs and cost calculations

Education and Experience:          

Master’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years relevant experience in construction projects involving civil  engineering. 

Must have:

1. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes including document control systems


2. Experience in coordinating construction projects


3. Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing construction plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards


4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


5. Proficiency in Bluebeam


6. Proficiency in reading and reviewing Primavera P6.


7. Driver’s License is required.

Salary range: $130,853-140,000. *Relocation may be required. Domestic travel within the State of California up to 75% required.
