Project Engineer - Civil

At Dawood Engineering, Inc., we provide multi-disciplined consulting services for a wide range of industries encompassing Transportation, Energy & Land Planning/Site Development.

Our engineers and professionals provide Highway Design and Traffic Engineering, Bridge and Structural Engineering, Civil Design, Surveying and Mapping, Pipeline and Associated Facility Design, Geotechnical/Geophysical, Environmental Studies and Water/Wastewater design.

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer- Civil to join our team in our King of Prussia, PA or Enola, PA office locations. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for working with our design teams to complete and be involved in municipal services, land development and energy projects throughout Pennsylvania.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consults with clients to determine project requirements, gathers and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and time to achieve project completion
• Directs, schedules, coordinates and reviews the work of assigned project staff and private consultants
• Conducts analysis, technical investigation and research on civil planning related issues
• Plans layout of project, considering site conditions and possible environmental impacts
• Prepares preliminary and final subdivision and land development plans and details
• Completes and submits NPDES and E&S permit applications for subdivision and land development plans, and ESCGP-2 permit applications for energy related projects
• Creates layout, grading, profiles and storm water management plans and reports
• Prepares construction documentation including design specifications, bidding documents and construction contracts

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• EIT Certification preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
• Flexibility for occasional travel to job sites and other offices on an as-needed basis.
