Project Estimator - Commercial HVAC

Brian Cox Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC estimator with industry experience who can provide both conceptual and plan and specification bids. We are looking for someone who is extremely knowledgeable, reliable, detailed, and a good communicator both internal to the company and externally with customers and vendors.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conceptual budgeting
• Design Build estimating
• Plan & Spec estimating
• Provide detailed budget & estimates
• Material and equipment take-offs
• Obtaining vendor and subcontractor quotes 
• Incorporation of plans, specs & BOD’s into estimates
• Review of subcontractor bids / scope of work requirements
• Proposal development and submission
• Interview as part of the team to build the project

Requirements

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Quotesoft abilities a plus. 
• Must be detail oriented, well organized and have the ability to meet deadlines, and work in a very fast paced environment
• Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, especially during the bid process.

Proficient in the following systems (Shell & TI)

• Chilled water systems
• VRF – air cooled and water cooled
• Water Source Heat Pump Systems
• VAV
• Specialty (dry rooms, labs, clean rooms, etc)
