Salary: $70,000-$100,000+ (DOE)

Project Estimator (commercial HVAC exp. req.) Description 

Our client, a well-established building controls and energy management company, is looking to add a Project Estimator to their team in Jacksonville. You will be responsible for assessing project documentation and creating cost estimates for building automation system installations and retrofits. Majority of your time will be spent on HVAC controls projects (DDC, VAV, etc.) partnering closely with the sales, engineering, and operations teams to provide precise and competitive proposals. This would be a great fit for someone with a strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems who brings a collaborative approach to project management. Project Estimator (commercial HVAC exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Review electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and specifications 
•    Provide accurate and timely estimations on HVAC automation projects 
•    Create takeoffs and BOMs for controls, sensors, network components, and labor 
•    Analyze RFQs and bid documents to understand project requirements
•    Partner with sales and design teams to confirm alignment and technical capabilities
•    Correspond with vendors and suppliers to discuss pricing on controls and materials 
•    Prepare cost breakdowns, proposal documents, and supporting schedules 
•    Support value engineering and provide ideas on cost reductions 
•    Update estimating tools, cost databases, and proposal templates
•    Assist with post-award handoffs to project managers and field crews

Project Estimator (commercial HVAC exp. req.) Qualifications  

•    3+ years of commercial HVAC estimating experience required 
•    Experienced writing proposals and scope of work required 
•    Well-versed using estimating software required  
•    Able to work onsite daily required
