Our Potential Opportunity
INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking an experienced Project Interface Manager with 12+ years of experience in managing interactions across multiple work streams for major construction projects. The Project Interface Manager will provide essential expertise and coordination across various teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration, reporting directly to the Project Manager or Project Director.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in dealing confidently with external entities and contractors, managing internal and external information sources, and ensuring successful project delivery by resolving interface challenges.
What You’ll Lead and Deliver:
- Oversee and manage all necessary interactions and interfaces across various work streams, ensuring effective communication and coordination among project teams.
- Confidently represent the project to external entities, contractors, consulting companies, and service providers to meet interface requirements.
- Identify and define project interfaces at the earliest opportunity, ensuring that all parties are aware of their responsibilities.
- Develop an interdependency schedule for project interfaces, coordinating timelines and deliverables across multiple teams.
- Create a comprehensive list of interface coordinators from engineering, procurement, construction, transport, and hook-up organizations necessary for interface resolution.
- Standardize and coordinate procedures between contractors to ensure consistency and minimize conflicts.
- Initiate and lead regular technical interface coordination meetings, documenting discussions, action items, and ownership with due dates.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities for each contractor to limit conflicts and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Promote clear communication between contractors, fostering a collaborative environment that is essential for successful project delivery.
- Establish and facilitate regular phone conferences and meetings to monitor the status of actions and ensure prompt resolution of interfaces.
- Document requests and exchanges of design documents among contractors and subcontractors, maintaining compliance with the interface management plan.
- Conduct visits to offshore and onshore construction sites to evaluate construction and commissioning aspects, ensuring space availability as required.
- Assist the Project Manager and represent their interests in meetings with end-users in their absence, ensuring all stakeholder concerns are addressed.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on interface management within construction or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in managing complex interfaces and stakeholder relationships in the oil and gas or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in identifying, managing, and resolving project interfaces to ensure successful project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing project interfaces on large construction or EPC projects, with a focus on achieving project goals and timelines.
- Previous experience dealing with contractors and external entities, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience in conducting site visits and evaluations to assess construction and commissioning aspects.
- Strong skills in coordinating multiple work streams and ensuring alignment between contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage and maintain comprehensive interface documentation, including design document exchanges and action lists.
- Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction processes related to large-scale projects, especially in PLC, ESD, DCS SCADA and control systems.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to identify interface challenges and develop effective solutions to resolve conflicts.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple interfaces efficiently.
