The Project Leader is responsible for the successful execution of assigned capital projects and associated budget allocations. They will plan, direct, and execute business projects related to manufacturing methods, processes, facilities, systems, and equipment using comprehensive knowledge of existing capabilities and new technology. The Project Leader implements the manufacture of new products or product lines with the emphasis on integrating using the most efficient process and manufacturable design. They will interfaces with manufacturing personnel to learn and improve existing processes. In this role you will: Manage high-visibility, strategic capital projects, manage focused teams, run meetings, make regular update reports, execute major equipment purchase contracts, and replicate existing equipment. Ensure effective change management process is utilized including achievement of all MESH requirements. Develop training and operational documentation. Implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies. Support activities associated with large projects managed as an overall program through the ProLaunch process.Maintain metrics for project cost, quality, technical performance, and delivery. Coordinates all risks and requirements of the program into a complete integrated entity. Provides periodic project updates (Project Status Report 4-ups - Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the business units. Some travel required to manage and execute projects across both PDRD and PRD manufacturing sites. Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field from an accredited institution. Five (5) years of experience required in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Operations Leadership Three (3) years of experience in following manufacturing processes desired: metal fabrication, welding, painting operations, assembly, facilities, and electrical testing. Three (3) years of experience in leading capital expenditure projects from initiation to launch Must be able to travel up 75%. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI. PMP Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma processes and tools. Experience with Computer Aided Drafting and Design. Experience with authoring Capital Approval Requests (CAR), capitalization process, and asset disposition.
