Job Description - Project Manager


Sugino Corp, a leader in precision cleaning, cutting, & deburring, is looking for a Project Manager in our Wixom, Michigan location. The Project Manager oversees the implementation process of Sugino machines for our customers. This role works with project engineers, manufacturing engineers, controls engineers, suppliers, and other staff members of various disciplines to establish a good working relationship with customers. Project Managers are considered the link between the customer, suppliers, and all involved Sugino personnel.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand Sugino’s scope of work for each project.

• Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.

• Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management.

• Assists with the selection, negotiation, and management of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors.

• Be the point of contact between Sugino and the customer.

• Assists the primary procurement team and processes with identifying sources, monitoring costs, and facilitating the procurement of materials, parts, and other content.

• Participate in the customer’s run-offs, document open issues and close out these open issues.

• Ensure the required documentation such as mechanical/electrical drawings, washer manuals and BOMs are submitted on time to the customer.

• Participate in Safety reviews at selected facilities.

• Assist Sales & GM with requests for quotes and obtain quotations from local suppliers for items and services that are to be procured and delivered to SML/other integrators for system integration.






Requirements



  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Mechanical (technician, engineer, or a combination of both) hands-on experience, with one (1)+ year electrical and computer skills.

  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent, specifically in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

  • One (1) year of project management experience or managing processes.

  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management.

  • Computer skills.

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Global, multicultural work environment.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.

  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.

  • Project scheduling skills.
