Job Description - Project Manager

Position Overview


The Project Manager provides delivery coordination, execution oversight, and cross-functional support across business, technology, operational, and enterprise initiatives supporting our client’s strategic objectives. Initiatives may include business process improvements, technology implementations, operational enhancements, or cross-functional projects operating within the client evolving enterprise governance and delivery model.


This role supports project planning, execution coordination, delivery reporting, stakeholder alignment, and operational readiness activities while maintaining visibility into project health, risks, dependencies, sequencing impacts, and resource considerations. The position supports scalable and disciplined delivery practices aligned to enterprise priorities, operational objectives, and regulatory expectations.


Key Responsibilities


Coordinate project planning, execution activities, scheduling, dependency management, issue tracking, and lifecycle coordination activities.



  • Support cross-functional coordination across business, technology, operational, vendor, and delivery stakeholder groups.

  • Maintain visibility into project status, milestones, risks, dependencies, operational impacts, and resource considerations.

  • Support governance reviews, project status reporting, steering committee preparation, stage-gate readiness, and delivery reporting activities.

  • Prepare and maintain project reporting materials, RAID documentation, milestone reporting, governance summaries, project dashboards, and delivery communications.

  • Partner with business owners, delivery leads, and operational stakeholders to support execution alignment and operational readiness activities.

  • Identify, communicate, and escalate delivery risks, organizational impacts, dependency concerns, and project constraints requiring leadership attention.

  • Support delivery consistency, accountability, operational alignment, and continuous improvement across assigned initiatives.

  • Support adoption and operationalization of the evolving governance and delivery practices.


Required Qualifications


Education & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4–8 years of experience in project management, enterprise delivery, PMO operations, governance support, technology delivery, business transformation, or strategic initiative coordination; OR

  • Associate’s degree plus 6–10 years of related experience; OR

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 8–12 years of related experience.

  • Experience may include support or coordination of enterprise initiatives, business-focused initiatives, technology implementations, operational improvements, or cross-functional strategic projects.


Skills & Capabilities



  • Strong understanding of project management, delivery lifecycle management, governance practices, and operational readiness principles.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives involving business, technology, operational, vendor, and delivery stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with project planning, dependency management, execution coordination, governance reviews, risk management, and delivery reporting practices.

  • Strong organizational, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, communication, and operational alignment capabilities.

  • Ability to identify, communicate, escalate, and support mitigation of delivery risks, operational impacts, organizational dependencies, and resource constraints.

  • Experience preparing project status updates, RAID reporting, governance materials, milestone reporting, project dashboards, and delivery communications.

  • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar enterprise delivery and collaboration tools.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting PMO, governance, or enterprise delivery functions within financial services, regulated environments, or government-sponsored enterprises.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Hybrid delivery, SDLC-aligned initiatives, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), SAFe, or enterprise transformation practices.

  • Experience supporting governance operationalization, delivery maturity, portfolio reporting, or organizational change initiatives.

  • PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSM, or related certifications preferred.
