Description
Shrewsberry & Associates, LLC seeks Project Manager-Construction Services in Indianapolis, IN.
Hybrid position-some telecommuting flexibility, but a requirement to physically be in the Indianapolis, IN office/project site as needed.
Responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Initiation: Collaborate with the project owner to define project objectives, scope, budget, and schedule.
Develop a comprehensive project management plan, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Project Planning: Create and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring that all activities are well-coordinated.
Oversee the selection and procurement of contractors, architects, and consultants.
Assist in the development of project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout the project.
Design and Pre-construction: Coordinate with design professionals, owner, relevant stakeholders and ensure that designs meet project objectives, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Review and assess bids, proposals, and contracts for construction services.
Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs and quality.
Construction Management: Supervise and manage all construction activities to ensure they meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
Resolve any construction-related issues, conflicts, or changes as they arise.
Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project records.
Ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained and maintained throughout the project.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement safety protocols and monitor adherence to safety regulations on the construction site.
Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, or budget.
Ensure proper documentation and communication of change orders.
Closeout and Handover: Oversee project closeout activities, including commissioning, punch lists, and final inspections.
Facilitate the turnover of the project to the owner, ensuring all required documentation and training are provided.
10% domestic travel required.
Requirements
Position requires: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 1 year of experience as a civil engineer, or related experience.
