PROJECT MANAGER - Energetic Workplace

Manufacturer of steel girders for highway construction and bridge supports seeking new graduate of construction science to join our team as a project manager right away!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Serve as primary customer contact from time of contract until completed product is delivered.

·         Liaison between customer and company departments such as Detailing, Production and Quality.

·         Review customer specifications, project quotes, and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.

·         Prepare and negotiate change orders throughout the process of project completion.

·         Resolve problems for customers in the process of completing production of projects.

·         Review structural designs for accuracy according to customer specifications and code.

·         Monitor and analyze project revenue, cost and profitability including material and labor costs.

·         Resolve discrepancies and report on project profitability. 

·         Follow status on projects, keep customers informed and negotiate completion times between customer and production.

·         Coordinate production schedules with all areas based on anticipated release date.

·         Communicate regularly with customers and coordinate customer visits to company facilities.

·         Maintain and update all project/contract documentation and schedules.

·         Ensure all materials are received on or before being required for production.

·         Handle issues with damaged or missing materials, determine necessary actions to rectify problems.

·         Schedule final walk through for completion sign off on projects.

·         Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         BS in Engineering, Technology Construction Science or Civil/Structural Engineering.

·         Up to 2 years of experience.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to handle multiple jobs at once inside a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong prioritization and organization skills.

·         Microsoft Office Suite experience.

·         Experience analyzing and understanding design drawings.

·         Dealing with customers and vendors

Pay: 60,000-70,000 per year based on experience.
