This role serves as the primary leader and owner of the project, managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. The Project Manager interfaces directly with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies, and ensures disciplined execution consistent with EPC best practices while aligning with corporate objectives, policies, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for overall project execution, outcomes, and client satisfaction.

  • Establish and maintain a strong safety culture where safety is the highest priority across all phases of execution.

  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary project team across engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, and project controls.

  • Develop and manage strong, collaborative client relationships and act as the primary interface with customers and key stakeholders.

  • Lead upfront project planning, execution strategy development, and constructability reviews.

  • Ensure development, integration, and adherence to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules.

  • Own and manage all financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, cost forecasting, contingency management, cost control, and change control.

  • Administer and enforce the EPC contract and all related subcontracts and purchase orders.

  • Review engineering changes, field modifications, and design adjustments for cost, schedule, and contractual impacts.

  • Coordinate procurement of long-lead equipment, bulk materials, and specialty services to support execution and commissioning.

  • Proactively identify and resolve execution issues, evaluate alternatives, and drive timely, aligned decisions.

  • Ensure commissioning planning and readiness are integrated early and executed effectively through system turnover, testing, and final acceptance.

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with executive leadership regarding project status, risks, and opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in engineering, construction, and project management within EPC delivery of power generation, energy infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects.

  • Extensive experience managing EPC projects through full lifecycle execution with direct responsibility for cost, schedule, safety, quality, and commercial performance.

  • Strong understanding of EPC contracting models, project controls, cost management, and schedule management.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office tools.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.

Leadership Profile

  • Safety-driven, accountable, and decisive.

  • Commercially astute with a strong execution mindset.

  • Trusted to operate independently with limited oversight.

  • Effective in high-visibility, high-pressure environments.

  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented.
