What You Will Do
- Lead the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring safety, budget adherence, high-quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Take ownership of project results and work closely with all stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timeline.
- Communicate clear expectations to team members and stakeholders, serving as a mediator between them.
- Proactively resolve issues and address problems throughout project life cycle.
- Effectively manage project scope by documenting and obtaining approvals for any changes via change order forms.
- Lead, coach, and motivate project team members proactively to foster a high-performance work environment.
- Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
- Performs other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
What You Will Need to be Successful
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Fire Alarm project management required.
- NICET Level 3 preferred.
- Ability to reference applicable codes confidentially and correctly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
- Knowledge of and experience with Fire Alarm System estimating to produce job change orders, evaluating and apply job estimates and assist with new estimates as required.
- Knowledge of and experience with Project management tools and software packages. Experience with Accubid Estimating systems is preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with integrated job cost systems to budget, evaluate reports and project final costing
- Knowledge of and experience with building critical path schedules for projects
- Knowledge of and experience with design-build delivery models is strongly preferred
- Ability to actively engage in the construction process and evaluate final “cost at completion” on a regular basis is essential for the position
- Experience with identification and quantification of project impacts is preferred.
- Ability to use good commercial judgment in negotiating change orders with the customer is a requirement
- Demonstrated leadership managing people
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
- Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work environment
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
$117,000 - $147,000 a year
