Position Overview:

E-MC Electrical Inc., a leader in commercial electric and energy services since 1977, is seeking a skilled Regional Fire Alarm Project Manager to lead our fire alarm installation projects across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and surrounding states. This role demands a proactive and diligent manager with a deep understanding of low voltage systems, smoke directors, flashing lights, and conduit. The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of field experience and a proven track record of managing and executing projects with the highest standards of efficiency and quality.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project Leadership: Direct all stages of fire alarm projects from start to finish, guaranteeing they meet budget, deadlines, and quality expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work with clients, contractors, and team members to establish the project's scope, objectives, and expected outcomes.
  • Planning: Craft detailed plans, timelines, and financial forecasts, tracking progress to ensure milestones are met.
  • Resource Management: Allocate personnel, tools, and materials efficiently, enhancing project productivity.
  • Communication: Hold regular meetings, update all parties on progress, and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Technical Management: Oversee the installation of fire alarm systems, including specialized components like low voltage systems and flashing lights.
  • Team Leadership: Guide teams of 5-10 across various projects, maintaining strict adherence to schedules and quality norms.
  • Hands-On Involvement: Provide practical assistance with tools and equipment to achieve project goals.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate effective interaction among all project stakeholders to ensure smooth completion.
  • Expertise: Offer technical advice and solve problems, ensuring the project's success.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the fire alarm sector with a strong portfolio of managing commercial projects successfully.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication capabilities, able to inspire and guide teams of 5-10 through teaching and exemplary leadership.
  • Problem-Solving: Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Project Site, ViewPoint, or Primavera P6.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed in electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Certification: NICET III certification required (or readiness to obtain it, demonstrating expertise in fire alarm systems.)
  • Background Requirements: Ability to clear Federal background checks, highlighting reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Travel Commitment: Willingness to commit to projects requiring travel and extended stays in company-provided housing outside the DFW area.
  • Product Knowledge: Proficiency in Siemens XLS or CerPro fire alarm products, though experience with other systems is also valuable.
  • Computer Skills: Competent with business software like Excel and Word, and able to communicate effectively through email.

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
