JOB PURPOSE:

Partners for Home seeks qualified applicants to help oversee the coordination of bridge and permanent housing for homeless households. In this role, the Project Manager will support the efforts between diversion outreach, crisis response, encampment closures, and bridge housing. The Project Manager will initially be responsible for two main projects with additional oversight to be added and or shifted depending on the project needs. Initial areas of focus are 1) executing a plan in coordination with the City of Atlanta and other community stakeholders to close encampments and move households experiencing unsheltered homelessness into housing; and 2) working with the community and homeless diversion providers to increase the use and success of diversion. Seeking an ambitious and industrious relationship builder to undertake a variety of policy, administrative and project management tasks under the direction of the Director of Coordinated Entry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project duties:

• Work with crisis response and outreach teams to build By Name Lists (BNL) to ensure that those in encampments and unsheltered are accurately reflected in Coordinated Entry.

• Identify and advocate for solutions needed on an individual level for those experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

• Monitor the effectiveness of outreach and navigation work to ensure those in interim housing are gathering documents needed for permanent housing.

• Serve as a lead project manager for coordinating outreach teams and shelter, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing for planned encampment closures.

• Develop workflows for encampment closures and bridge housing.

• Serve as lead project manager for coordinating diversion teams and increasing successful outcomes.

• Champion the use of diversion as an effective housing placement solution within the community.

• Oversee interim housing or motel projects.

• Develop training curriculums for service providers.

• Lead coordination efforts between the City of Atlanta, and all partners to effectively and compassionately close encampments.

Operational duties:

• Lead outreach and navigation teams to ensure coordination and collaboration.

• Facilitate check ins with diversion teams to ensure goals are being met.

• Monitor diversion project data to identify gaps and propose solutions.

• Visualize data to report on diversion, outreach and encampment outcomes.

• Operationalize best practices with encampment closures.

• Update program models.

• Provide leadership to service providers in areas of assigned responsibilities.

• Prepare daily report outs on unsheltered population numbers and progress toward housing goals.

• Utilize the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to monitor anticipated needs and make projections.

• Work closely with Coordinated Entry project manager to ensure appropriate documentation provided, confirm unit availability as needed and identify bottlenecks to obtaining housing. • Assist with identifying prioritized individuals based on CoC prioritization policies.

• Provide exceptional customer service to our Continuum Partners, partnering with them to ensure a transparent system is in place.

• Support activities for housing efforts including committees and work groups.

• Facilitate case conferencing and support activities to move individuals into housing.

• Partner with agencies receiving related funding resources to further alignment with the CoC.

• Lead new projects as new resources become available.

• Ensure cross disciplinary teamwork with other verticals.

• Participate and provide coverage and support to other vertical lines as needed.

• Represents Partners for HOME in community meetings, committees and work groups as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in social service field with at least two years related experience.
  • Previous experience working with the homeless population or housing preferable.
High energy and a passion for the CoC's mission and goals.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, HMIS and project management tools.

Familiar with housing subsidies such as: Rapid Rehousing, Housing Choice Voucher, Georgia Housing Voucher, Permanent Supportive Housing

Strong initiative and curiosity.

Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.

Experience leading work groups and training sessions.

Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of clients and stakeholders.

Professional, precise, and persuasive writing and editing skills.

High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people's motivations.

Integrity and humility that encourages and inspires constituents, strong sense of judgment. • Seeks constructive criticism and growth.
