Job Description - Project Manager, Human Potential Network

Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

The Human Potential Network (HPN) is a growing community of employers, talent providers, and workforce innovators working together to reimagine hiring, workforce development, and talent advancement at scale. Through employer collaboration, strategic partnerships, activations, thought leadership, and the annual Human Potential Summit, HPN helps organizations unlock human potential and drive meaningful workforce transformation.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as a key operational leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing HPN initiatives. This role will help drive alignment across partners, employers, and internal teams while building the systems, processes, and accountability needed to scale the Network and deliver measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, execution-oriented, and skilled at managing complex, cross-functional work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

The role will be based in-person in the Ballston, VA office.

How You Will Contribute

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across Human Potential Network initiatives, including employer workstreams, activations, events, and strategic partnerships.

  • Coordinate activities related to HPN focus areas, including AI-ready talent, purpose-driven workplaces, new pathways into high-growth sectors, and internal mobility and upskilling.

  • Build and maintain operational systems, workflows, dashboards, and documentation that improve visibility, accountability, and execution.

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, track decisions and action items, and ensure follow-through across teams and partners.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and operational gaps and proactively develop solutions to keep initiatives moving forward.

  • Prepare project updates, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support planning and execution of the Human Potential Summit and other employer engagement opportunities.

  • Capture insights, lessons learned, and performance metrics to improve future programming and support strategic decision-making.

What You Will Bring

  • 4+ years of project management, program management, operations, or related experience.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, communications, and risk management.

  • Experience supporting partnerships, community-building efforts, events, or external engagement initiatives.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Experience developing operational systems, workflows, and reporting tools that improve team effectiveness.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action, continuous improvement, and problem solving.

  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.

Standout Candidates Will Bring

  • PMP or related certification preferred.

  • Experience within a PBM organization or culture is preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.

  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,300 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.

  • Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.
