Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for the execution and completion of large and complex enterprise-level projects and initiatives that may span the whole organization in alignment with MedImpact’s short and long-term strategy. Identifies and resolves project challenges, delivers results utilizing a collaborative approach across business units/departments, and meets corporate operational excellence criteria.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversees two or more large scale and complex level projects and/or initiatives to include managing project timelines, milestones and deliverables. Ensures that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Manages multiple enterprise strategic initiatives from plan, design and implementation to ensure projects are aligned with MedImpact’s strategic priorities. Identifies, analyzes, monitors and suggests actions for projects that materially contribute to the mission of the company.
Manages the enterprise project evaluation and priorization process. Evaluates new project requests based on defined criteria and supports recommendations for prioritization and decision on timing and execution of projects.
Provides project lifecycle management guidance to ensure consistency in the project methodology, tools, and templates utilized across enterprise strategic initiatives. Ensures reporting Project Managers comply with company and industry standards for project management.
Manages project financial management to optimize project performance and delivery. Assists teams with establishing financial projections, ROI and NPV analyses and monitors project revenue and expense budgeting and forecasting.
Assists teams with establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and periodically tracks and reviews KPIs to ensure projects are meeting target goals and metrics.
Ensures adherence to the master project plan, schedules and deliverables. Monitors and tracks overall status and progress of enterprise strategic initiatives. Solves problems and develops solutions to key issues. Facilitates project plan development and performs advisory management.
Communicates and collaborates with other departments regarding project

interdependencies,

opportunities and impact. This position will interface with other areas within the company, including IT, Operations, Finance/Analytics, Sales & Marketing, and Enterprise Product Development & Management.
Provides regular updates to and facilitates project presentations for the Senior Leadership Team.
Completes all documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including creating business cases, project charters, business requirements, and project workbooks.

This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills

(listening/verbal/written).

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; 8-10 years of direct Project Management experience managing large to complex projects within the health information technology or closely related field; minimum of two (2) year of pharmacy benefits management, disease management, healthcare or managed care environment experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Masters degree

preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
Experience in more than one of the following disciplines a plus: Software Engineering, Product Development, Finance, Operations.
Highly skilled and knowledgeable in product and project lifecycles and methodologies, continuous quality improvement, and change management.
Thorough knowledge of IT systems, applications, databases, architecture, and software development lifecycle.
General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data such as product income statements, ROI analysis, net-present value analysis.
General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering and quality systems.
Knowledge and experience with Agile project management methodologies preferred.
Clear track record for achieving goals.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a working knowledge of relational databases and Web-based technologies.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills
Candidates must have an understanding of pharmaceutical calculations including fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, percentages, and medication dosing. In addition, candidates must have the ability to calculate and/or interpret market shares and graphs.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external clients of varying

educational/professional

backgrounds.

Work Location
This position can be remote or based in the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.
Working Hours
This is an exempt level position requiring one to work the hours needed to get the job done. Therefore one must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Travel
This position requires no travel however attendance maybe required at various local conferences and meetings.
