Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Work Arrangement: Hybrid option available after the first 90 days
Salary Range: $118,000–$150,000 per year

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering and land development projects from entitlements through design and construction support.
This position requires strong technical design expertise, project leadership experience, and the ability to manage client relationships, public-agency coordination, project workflows, and financial responsibilities. The successful candidate will serve as a central design resource and mentor while ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and according to client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Establish project design criteria and develop effective civil engineering solutions
Manage land development projects from entitlements through design and construction support
Lead project planning, execution, scheduling, quality, and delivery
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
Lead plan processing and coordinate directly with public agencies
Oversee project workflows and delegate assignments to engineering team members
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery
Review engineering plans, calculations, reports, and other project deliverables
Participate in marketing, business development, lead generation, and new-project pursuits
Prepare and manage proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and change orders
Monitor project budgets, schedules, invoicing, and financial performance
Review and approve project-related timecards
Attend internal, client, agency, and project coordination meetings
Maintain strong communication among clients, agencies, consultants, and internal teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited four-year institution
Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering design experience
Minimum of three years of experience serving as a central design figure, employee mentor, or project workflow leader
Active Professional Engineer license
Strong land development project experience
Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects from entitlements through construction support
Experience communicating directly with clients and processing plans through public agencies
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, leadership, and team-building skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Experience
Residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use land development
Grading, drainage, street improvement, and underground utility design
Public-agency coordination and entitlement processing
Business development and pursuit of new work
Mentoring and supervising civil engineering staff
Project financial management and profitability oversight
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary of $118,000–$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications
