Project Manager – Multifamily Construction
An established general contractor in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Project Manager to lead multifamily construction projects in the Bellingham market.
This is a hands-on project leadership opportunity for someone who wants full ownership of construction execution while joining an organization with a strong backlog and significant opportunity for long-term career advancement. The Project Manager will oversee projects from early planning through completion, working closely with field teams, trade partners, designers, and clients.
What You'll Do
Manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through turnover and closeout.
Take ownership of project schedule, budget, quality, safety, and overall execution.
Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to keep projects moving and resolve issues quickly.
Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and short- and long-term planning.
Manage project financials, including cost forecasting, profitability, and budget performance.
Lead subcontractor coordination and maintain strong relationships with trade partners.
Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, change orders, and other project documentation.
Coordinate procurement and ensure materials are available when required by the project schedule.
Work directly with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Identify project risks early and develop solutions to protect schedule and budget.
Help create a collaborative project environment focused on safety, quality, and successful delivery.
Manage multiple project priorities while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of Project Management experience specifically within multifamily construction.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline preferred.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, schedules, procurement, and subcontractors.
Ability to lead projects from preconstruction through completion.
Strong working relationship with field teams and trade contractors.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
Someone who wants to continue developing into a Senior Project Manager and future construction leader.
