Project Manager - Permanent - Urgent Role

The Project Manager will need to be willing to travel up to 100%, as needed, to and from different job sites out of state.

Compensation range: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour, DOE - depending on experience.

We are helping our client hire a dedicated Project Manager to join their team permanently. The project manager (PM) will be an integral interface between the field superintendent and the customer, agencies, and other project stakeholders. The PM will work with the Superintendent to keep field crews operating at high efficiency and in compliance with all project requirements by communicating regularly with the appropriate parties to resolve issues, forecast production, schedule work and participate in project required meetings.

The list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Report daily tracking to the customer and ensure the customer appropriately approves each day.
• Communicate with management and PM team regarding progress, issues, changes in scope, equipment/material needs and schedule forecasting.
• Coordinate with customers, agencies, and various stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with requirements – client relations.
• Work with PM team in preparation and delivery of invoices by the deadline for submission of progress invoices each month.
• Find opportunities to improve on budget/reduce cost of project(s).
• Create and implement plans to reach and stay on track with project goals.
• Have an in depth understanding of the contract and scope included to identify and document all work requested that is outside of contracted scope.
• Assist the Super in tasks to keep crews working safely and efficiently.
• Material procurement.
• Participate in meetings and other project communications to ensure the company has input to all interested parties and that all pertinent information is acquired by the company as it is available.
• Lead, manage and hold others and self, accountable, when needed.
• Reviewing timecards before submitting for payroll.
• Build and effectively portray project meetings, daily and weekly.

Requirements:

• Experience in PM, CM or QC rolls on large scale power projects involving civil construction.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS Software (Heavyjob, Heavybid, Telematics).
• Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft Project.
• Must be a team player and willing to perform multiple duties as the need arises.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and self-driven.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and a DVR acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
• Willing and able to work long hours and in varying conditions.
• Estimating experience preferred but not required.
