Job Description - Project Manager, R&D - NPD

Work Flexibility: Onsite

At Stryker, we’re seeking a Project Manager in R&D supporting new product development who thrives on driving results, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality outcomes throughout the product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization. If you're energized by collaboration, innovation, and making a measurable difference, this is your opportunity to lead projects that matter. 

You will need to live within commuting distance to Stryker’s Irvine, CA office and be on-site 5 days per week.

What You Will Do 

  • Lead the development and execution of project charters, management plans, and detailed Gantt charts 
  • Define project scope with stakeholders and create structured work breakdowns to guide execution 
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure costs remain within approved limits 
  • Develop and maintain quality and risk management plans using industry-standard tools
  • Assign and manage project team resources, clearly defining roles and deliverables 
  • Build and execute stakeholder and communication management plans 
  • Collaborate on procurement planning and vendor selection 
  • Develop and execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders

What You Will Need 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field 
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant project management experience 
  • Experience in regulated or quality-driven environments 
  • Strong understanding of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent 

  

 

$102,700 - $171,100 USD Annual

  

 

Travel Percentage: 10%
