Job Description - Project Manager (Software Development)

Positionâs Contributions to Work Group

Accountable for ensuring successful completion of projects, on-time, within budget; responsible for planning and execution of various project deliverables, communications, metrics, reporting, and the overall program plan (identifying and driving program dependencies to resolution)

Typical Day

â¢ Managing technical/Software projects, may include project charters, scheduling and planning projects and successful completion;

â¢ Guide/manage technical or project management staff

â¢ Resolve issues, dependencies, and risks;

â¢ Lead and influence others to deliver on project commitments

â¢ Utilize agile training or extensive experience with sprint planning, daily scrums, to support and challenge development planning

â¢ Lead and participate in multiple meetings

â¢ Prepare and analyze status reports and meeting presentation material

Requirements

Education Requirements:

Mastersâ degree in computer science, information systems, or closely related disciplines â¢ PMP certification preferred â¢ Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred

Technical Skills

Background in Software development is highly desirable

â¢ Certification or knowledge of AWS is highly desirable

â¢ Exposure to data design, data extraction, and big data transformation projects is highly desirable

â¢ Working knowledge of JIRA and Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS), Confluence

â¢ Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project

â¢ Strong communication and presentation skills

â¢ Change Management Certification preferred

â¢ Six Sigma Black Belt Certification desirable

â¢ Knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable

â¢ PMP certification preferred

â¢ Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred

Excellent communication and presentation skills Leadership skills Ability to negotiate Win Win attitude
