Our client, a global manufacturer, is hiring experienced Project Managers/Engineering Managers to manage key projects and accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. Working within a strong team, the Project Manager/Engineering Manager will have 2+ years of recent experience large-scale projects, manufacturing, engineering or similar industry experience, and strong communication skills.
This role is an on-site position in Lehigh Valley, PA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office daily, and/or relocate if hired.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Project Manager/Engineering Manager will:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget ($100K or more) Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Ensure resource availability and allocation Develop a detailed project plan to track progress Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques Report and escalate to management as needed Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Perform risk management to minimize project risks Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years recent experience is required. Manufacturing, Engineering of similar industry required. MS Project or similar project management software experience required. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the manufacturing environment required. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal communication skills required. Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field preferred. Project Management Certification or degree (e.g., PMP or equivalent) preferred. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
