Role Overview
The Construction Project Superintendent is accountable for field supervision and coordination of the project. Owns the project schedule and all manpower requirements and organizes, plans, and schedules the work. Reports directly to the Project Manager. Implements the Site Specific Safety and No Impact plans developed by the Project Manager and creates and fosters a clean and Injury Free Environment to existing operations and personnel. Involved in all new construction project planning and modifications of existing infrastructures. Enforces the QAQC plan in the field with the craft workers. Owns the construction effort and participates in the subcontractor pre-qualifications effort. Assists the Project Manager review subcontractor change orders and invoices. Along with the QAQC Project Manager, signs off on room and system turnover from the subcontractors. Participates in owner meetings and leads all project safety and subcontractor field coordination meetings. Works closely with the QAQC Project Manager on implementation of quality plan requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of cast-in-place concrete construction, formwork systems, reinforcing steel, embedded items, concrete placement operations, productivity management, and self-perform construction practices.
