Propane Driver/Service Technician - CDL Class A or B - Sunbury, OH

The propane Service Technician will install and troubleshoot propane equipment and provide related services in a safe,  efficient manner that maximizes customer satisfaction and sales. This position would include the safe delivery of bulk propane to customer sites efficiently following all company and mandated protocols. May assist in repairs and with install teams. You also may be 

required to test propane systems to check for leaks. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Perform propane and equipment installation, repair, and delivery work as required by local, state, and federal regulations. 

• Make proper recommendations of propane and services to customers to their requirements  

• Invoice all products and services accurately as they are delivered or sold. 

• Promptly handle all customer complaints with follow-up until the complaint has been resolved. 

• Attend training sessions to stay current with petroleum industry safety and operational standards 

• Make delivery of bulk propane products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all company operational and safety policies and procedures 

• Maintain truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre-and post-trip inspections 

• Communicate customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up 

• Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested 

• CDL class A or B with a clean driving record. 
• Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements required 
• Current DOT medical card 
• Must meet all DOT requirements including a road test, physical, and drug screen

Education and Experience: 

• 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred 
• Past fuel/oil delivery experience preferred but not required 
• Ability to work independently and be familiar with the local area 
• Possess basic math skills, organizational skills, and be a team player 

Physical Requirements: 

• Walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb, as required, in order to perform required vehicle inspections  May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds 
• May be required to be exposed to extreme weather conditions (snow, ice, heat, winds) 
• Occasionally climb ladders  
• Sit for extended periods of time in a truck and be able to drive, for as many as 11 hours while transporting propane and other industrial products.
