Property Accountant (Commercial)- HYBRID SCHEDULE

A well established real estate investment and management firm is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join its growing accounting team. The organization specializes in retail shopping centers and manages a large, diverse portfolio. You’ll be joining a collaborative and tenured accounting team within a stable organization, offering strong onboarding, ongoing support, and a culture that values connection through regular team events and social activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting for a portfolio of 6–9 retail shopping centers


• Prepare full-cycle financial statements during month-end close


• Perform CAM reconciliations and related analysis


• Review and interpret lease agreements (no abstracting required)


• Partner with property managers and ownership on budgeting, reporting, and issue resolution


• Handle ongoing financial analysis and ad hoc projects

Required:

• 3–5+ years of commercial property accounting experience


• Retail real estate experience REQUIRED 


• Experience with CAM reconciliations


• Familiarity with MRI or Yardi


• Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines
