Duties & Responsibilities of the Property Accounting Coordinator:
- Provide administrative and clerical support for the Accounting Department
- Primary backup for the Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounts Receivable Specialist
- Process the weekly check run for the Office and Industrial portfolio, provide other check run support on an ad hoc basis
- Enter sales data received from tenants
- Review utility invoices for coding accuracy
- Pull invoice backup for year-end billings as requested by tenants
- Generate and send out monthly courtesy statements to tenants
- Update CPI changes into Yardi
- Open, sort and distribute mail
- Photocopy documents, prepare and distribute documents for signature and other correspondence by mail, email, and courier delivery
- Establish, develop, maintain and update the filing system
- Schedule and organize activities such as meetings, travel, and conferences as needed
- Coordinate with property management and third-party utilities
- Respond to tenant billing inquiries
- Other projects as needed
Selection Criteria Job Requirements (Skills/Abilities) of the Property Accounting Coordinator:
- Punctual, dependable and reliable
- Possession of strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing
- Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members
- Must possess strong attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Capability to work in fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
Experience / Education / Certifications / of the Property Accounting Coordinator:
- Real estate experience preferred
- Prefer 2 years college and/or certification in trade related field
Desirable Qualifications of the Property Accounting Coordinator:
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
- Yardi experience preferred
