Full-Time Position

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Compensation: $35.00 per hour
• Roving role- a porfolio of about 6-7 properties

Job Summary:

Fairgrove Property Management is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance & Construction Technician to join our team. This hybrid role combines general property maintenance with light-to-medium construction tasks across multiple rental properties. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly customer-focused, technically skilled, and experienced in construction trades. This position requires independent problem-solving, professional communication, and reliable transportation. You will play a vital role in maintaining high property standards and contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of our residents. 

Essential Job Functions – Position Requirements:

• Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances
• Perform light-to-medium construction projects, including:
• Drywall installation and repair
• Concrete patching and waterproofing
• Basic carpentry and framing
• Flooring, ceilings, siding, and general interior/exterior building work
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vacant units for turnover and move-ins
• Complete emergency and routine service requests in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work logs
• Communicate effectively with team members, residents, vendors, and suppliers
• Ensure cleanliness and proper trash disposal on property grounds
• Operate and maintain mobile work order systems via computer, smartphone, or tablet
• Provide after-hours emergency support as needed
• Uphold the mission and values of Fairgrove Property Management

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in property maintenance, construction, or related fields
• Demonstrated experience in general trades: plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, etc.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based systems
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
