Full Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides general upkeep of outside facilities to include, but not limited to, mowing and weed whacking of lawns, clean lawn and sidewalks of debris, snow removal and salt application
• Handles building landscape to include watering flowers and pesticide application
• Performs urgent, corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with the electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required
• Completes maintenance duties to all physical structures and demonstrates proper building cosmetic repairs (i.e., painting, spackling)
• Notifies supervisor if major repairs are required
• Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material)
• Maintains stock rooms with necessary supplies e.g. paper towels, bathroom tissue, soap, etc.
• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms and associated facilities
• Exhibits the ability to complete solo work with only minimal supervision
• Displays a thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain tools and equipment
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system
• Maintains compliance to local, state, and federal regulations for all repair work and daily maintenance
• Follows all safety protocols to include wearing protective gear and maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Takes initiative to learn shop procedures and technical information

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in maintenance and construction (i.e., plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or mechanical)
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical and manual dexterity skills

Physical and Environmental

The Property Maintenance Technician is primarily located in both a climate-controlled office and outdoor environment with low to high noise levels depending on which job duties are being performed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and extreme cold (non-weather). Physical requirements include:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to travel to neighboring offices for offsite jobs
• Must be on time for all scheduled shifts and work all scheduled days, proper notice and reason must be provided if unable to work any scheduled day
