Job Description - Property Management Support Specialist

We’re looking for an self-starting, detail oriented, customer service minded Property Management Support Specialist that can assist our onsite teams to success.

This full-time position will play a key role in the ongoing support of all aspects of property management. Key responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, financial and administrative operations, site marketing, leasing, move-ins, resident retention and compliance. The position requires regular travel to all of our residential properties and working closely with our onsite teams, Community and District Property Managers within the Greater Rochester area as well as properties in Syracuse, Buffalo, and Canandaigua areas. Due to the travel nature of this position, reliable transportation is a must.

Requirements

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be Certified Occupancy Specialist (affordable sites).
  • Knowledge of LIHTC (affordable sites)
  • NYS Notary License must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Must obtain CMH (Affordable) or ARM (Market) within one year of hire.

Special Skills/ Work Conditions Required:

  • Must have complete knowledge of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate the Internet.
  • Must possess knowledge of property management software.
  • Must be able to manage a flexible schedule including overtime.
  • Must be willing to travel to all sites as needed.
  • Must be able to walk, lift and move light loads (20 lb. max), bend, stoop, and climb stairs on a regular basis.
