BFW/Marcum is seeking an organized and creative Proposal Coordinator to lead the development of RFP/RFQ responses, capability statements, and interview materials in our new St. Louis office. This role involves collaboration with marketing and technical teams to produce accurate, compelling, and brand-consistent client-facing documents. This person will play a central role in positioning our firm for success across civil, structural, environmental, and transportation engineering pursuits. This individual will lead the preparation of standout proposals, SOQs, and interview presentations, working closely with technical staff to craft responses that are not only compliant but compelling.

While this role is posted as remote, the successful candidate will work from our St. Louis office on a hybrid schedule once it opens later this year.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze and interpret RFPs/RFQs to ensure compliant, timely, and strategically tailored responses


• Lead the development of high-impact proposals, qualification packages, and client presentations in collaboration with internal teams

• Write and edit resumes, project descriptions, cover letters, and executive summaries with a clear understanding of engineering services

• Refine content through proofreading, formatting, and messaging alignment for clarity, brand voice, and impact


• Partner with business development and leadership to support client outreach and elevate our positioning


• Contribute to marketing, branding, and thought leadership strategies

• Support shortlist interview preparation and contribute to marketing initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field


• 3+ years of experience in proposal development or marketing

• Ability to translate technical jargon into clear, benefits-driven language


• Strong command of Microsoft word and content collaboration tools. Experience in Adobe InDesign preferred

• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
