Propulsion Engineer 2 / 3

Provide technical expertise on development of energetic production techniques, cost estimation, and process design and automation. Primarily working with the operation and basic programming of Fanuc robots. Develop processes to craft energetic materials using robotic technologies. Provide support to other robotic personnel for robotic process development. Administer and coordinate the use of the Fanuc robots amongst various programmers and programs. Presentation of data and recommendations to internal and external customers. Ability to Travel expectation of 5% - 10% Other duties as assigned Working at Northrop Grumman is more than just a paycheck. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience. Experience working with energetic materials related to rocket motors or warhead production. Ability to communicate technically complex topics and scenarios clearly and concisely. Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance Experience working with energetic materials related to rocket motors or warhead production. Ability to communicate technically complex topics and scenarios clearly and concisely. 4 years' experience working with Fanuc robots Previous experience and knowledge of computer programming. Proficient with Octopuz, MATLAB, Python, Karel, and Fanuc Teach Pendant strongly preferred. Proficient in coordinate transformations and linear algebra. Firm understanding of electronic sensors, load cells and laser locators. Ability to coordinate between various engineering disciplines. Strong understanding of solid rocket motor system design, development, and manufacture Demonstrated experience with problem solving, problem investigation teams, and critical decision-making skills Strong verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations Demonstrated team leadership skills - leader of significant technical projects or investigations and management of multiple program tasks to schedule and budget Experience with the proposal process
