Job Description - Protestant Administrative Religious Education Coordinator


Job Title: Protestant Administrative Religious Education Coordinator

Location: US Army Garrison Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for Protestant religious education programs

  • Coordinate and support weekly religious education activities and events

  • Prepare and maintain monthly calendars of religious education programs

  • Develop flyers, promotional materials, and communication for programs and events

  • Track attendance and maintain program records and reports

  • Prepare and distribute program materials and supplies for classes and events

  • Coordinate facility reservations and logistics for religious education activities

  • Support seasonal programs (e.g., Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Vacation Bible School)

  • Attend meetings and provide updates to chapel leadership

  • Submit required reports, documentation, and invoices in a timely manner

Schedule

  • Work hours vary based on program schedule (not a standard 9–5 role)

  • Core office hours:

    • Monday–Friday: 0830–1630 (as needed)

  • Additional hours may include:

    • Evenings, weekends, and holidays to support programs and events

Qualifications

  • Experience in religious education or program coordination

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Experience working with children and youth programs

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Basic computer skills (word processing, email, administrative tools)

  • Ability to work in a diverse, multi-faith military environment
