NCR looking for an experienced Professional Services Manager to join the NCR Global Retail Professional Services Team. In this key role, you will help build and lead a team delivering Professional Services for NCR Software Defined Store and Edge products. The team is split between Atlanta and Seattle.
You will be managing a team of talented and experienced Engineers, Architects and Technical Project Managers with deep knowledge of NCR software and the surrounding technology landscape.
We are looking for someone with previous experience managing technical staff in a Professional Services environment.
Areas of Responsibility
Build the best in class Professional Services delivery team consisting of Engineers, Technical Architects and Technical Project Managers
Hands on assistance working with the team, with the delivery of projects
Develop the Professional Services delivery practice through the creation of repeatable processes and implementation best practices
Develop a culture of accountability within the team
Recruit, onboard, train and develop engineers, project managers, consultants and architects, as well as retain them by fostering supportive and collaborative team culture
Partner with the sales and other services teams to scope new opportunities and plan delivery
Ensuring alignment with peers in other geographies including the EMEA PS team, Support team, Sales team and Engineering team to deliver a consistent customer experience for our clients
Provide effort and cost estimates for each implementation and author SOWs
Own and manage the overall health and long-term services strategy for customer accounts in the region
Effectively manage field escalations and collaborate with various stakeholders to develop positive outcomes
Be the player-coach and provide ongoing support to team members during customer engagements
Foster collaboration with our product, support, and engineering teams and provide feedback from the field on features and functionality
Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done
Requirements
The successful candidates must have the following background and skills:
7 + years experience in managing technical Professional Services teams
Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree preferred
In-depth understanding of professional services project delivery
Customer-centric thinking and focus
Excellent oral communication skills, both face-to-face and via phone
Strong detail orientation and listening skills
Well-developed time management skills
Strong decision making and analytical abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in client and internal written communications
Willing to travel globally to meet customers and
Ability to travel to and from customer sites
Passionate and enthusiastic over work; has a can-do attitude
