Gemma Services is seeking a full-time, Psychiatric Case Manager to join our Child & Adolescent Outpatient Therapy program located at our Mt. Airy office.

The Psychiatric Case Manager acts as a liaison between the psychiatrists and clients/families. The Psychiatric Case Manager provides case management and administrative support for the psychiatric services of the Outpatient Program, including: managing psychiatrist calendars, scheduling appointments, handling calls from parents regarding issues with patients, coordinating electronic refills of medication and emergency referrals. The Psychiatric Case Manager coordinates within the department to provide relevant clinical information to other departments, collaborates regularly interdepartmentally via team meetings. Takes meeting notes, creates files, inputs information in the electronic health records system, ensures proper medical billing; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information. Collaborating with insurance, managed care organizations and pharmacies. Coordinates referrals outside the agency to provide care navigation for psychiatric patients
Skills
- Must have effective communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to address competing priorities. Oversight of psychiatric documentation completion.
- Must have exceptional organization skills.
- Must be able to multitask and have the ability to address multiple competing priorities.
- Must be friendly, personable, and adaptable.
- Knowledge of office operations; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office software and Electronic Medical Records System
Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years' related experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
