Psychiatric LPN

13 Week contract

3x 12 hours a week

Day shift

MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF CHILD AND ADULT PSYCH EXPERIENCE

EOW and some holidays required

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for side effects or responses.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
• Observe and document patients’ behavior, mood, and progress.
• Provide therapeutic communication to support patients through emotional or psychiatric distress.
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and help maintain a safe environment.
• Educate patients and families about treatments, coping strategies, and medication management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.

• Strong communication and observation skills
• Empathy and emotional resilience
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage challenging behavior
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and mental health conditions
• Teamwork and adaptability in high-stress settings
