Requirements
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and manage longitudinal follow -up care
• Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Develop individualized care strategies for patients with chronic psychiatric conditions
• Coordinate closely with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and facility leadership
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
• Deliver evidence -based, patient -centered psychiatric care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
• Board -certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active, unrestricted state license
• Strong clinical judgment and independent decision -making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and professional communication abilities
Preferred Experience
• Background in skilled nursing, assisted living, or geriatric psychiatry settings
• Prior experience in residential or institutional behavioral health environments
