Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Bronx)

Requirements

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and routine follow -up visits
  
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans for chronic mental health conditions
  
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with best practices
  
• Collaborate with nursing staff, medical leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams
  
• Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding care plans
  
• Provide patient -centered, trauma -informed psychiatric care
  
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  

• Board -certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  
• Active, unrestricted state license
  
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical judgment skills
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with care teams
  

• Experience in long -term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric psychiatry is a plus
  
• Prior experience as a Psychiatric RN or Psychiatric NP in a residential or institutional setting is a plus
