Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our on-site team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care and substance abuse treatment to patients, ensuring they receive timely and effective care at our facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in mental health care.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health care.
- Experience with telehealth services is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with electronic medical records.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
