Threshold Rehabilitation Services, Inc., a human service agency supporting people with disabilities is actively seeking an energetic, team-oriented professional to join our management team in our Mental Health Services Division.
The Psychiatric Nurse will oversee psychiatric medication management and develop, improve and oversee medical policies and procedures for Mental Health Programs.
The essential duties and responsibilities include:
Develop, monitor, and review policies and procedures related to health, welfare, and safety of individuals in Mental Health.
Coordinate appointments with program staff and oversee all medication monitoring including appropriate laboratory work.
Supervise and evaluate performance for the Medical Assistant.
Develop, monitor and review Self-medication Management Training, policy and procedures.
Develop, monitor, and review health tracking systems.
Train Self-Medication Management to staff and individuals in the Mental Health Division.
Develop and train staff and individuals in the Mental Health Division to address psychiatric health care needs.
Administer medications as needed.
Review individual medical and/or psychiatric records make appropriate recommendations.
Provide on-call support to program staff.
Comply with Threshold's confidentiality policy.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Mental Health Services.
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible), plus on-call responsibilities.
Threshold is closed on major Holidays, so these are great work hours with paid Holidays off starting day one of employment!!

Requirements
RN required
BSN preferred
Psychiatric experience required, and 2 years health care experience.
Experience with development and implementation of medical policies and procedures.
Strong organizational skills
Computer knowledge is a must
Valid PA Driver's License
PA Motor Vehicle Record Check
Use of vehicle while working with valid registration and insurance coverage indicating you are an insured driver
Pre-employment Drug Screen
PA Criminal History Clearance
FBI Clearance (if candidate has not been a resident of PA for the past two consecutive years)
