Requirements

â Board -certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

â Active, unrestricted state license

â Current DEA registration

â Minimum 2+ years of experience working with geriatric or long -term care populations

â Advanced knowledge of dementia -related behavioral management

â Confidence managing medically complex, polypharmacy -heavy patients

â Ability to function independently while contributing to a collaborative care model

In this role, you will:

â Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and longitudinal follow -up care

â Treat mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety disorders, trauma -related conditions, and neurocognitive decline

â Manage Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) using evidence -based interventions

â Optimize medication regimens while minimizing polypharmacy and adverse effects

â Conduct capacity assessments and behavioral risk evaluations

â Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, medical teams, and social services

â Provide staff education and guidance to strengthen behavioral health practices within facilities
