Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Rome, NY)

Requirements

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow -up visits
  

• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  

• Collaborate with facility staff and family members
  

• Provide compassionate, trauma -informed care
  

• Document care in compliance with regulatory standards
  

Qualifications

• Certified PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
  

• Active, unrestricted state license
  

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  

• Experience with geriatric or long -term care populations preferred (not required)
  

• Prior experience as a Psychiatric RN or Psychiatric NP in a nursing home or similar setting is a plus
