Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner-Prescribing

Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prescribing experience and experience working with children and adolescents, to join our growing team. As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will work with psychiatrists, psychologists and counselors to provide assessments, diagnoses and management of mental health issues to youth and adolescents. This is a part-time to full-time position offering a flexible schedule as well as the opportunity to work independently with ample departmental support.

Requirements:

• Applicants must have a Master's degree as well as be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• Area of focus must be psychiatric-mental health and PMH-APRN certification preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents with emotional disorders is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
