Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Counselor

Position Overview

The PRP Counselor provides psychiatric rehabilitation services to clients with mental health diagnoses. Services focus on skill-building, community integration, treatment planning, and promoting independence and stability. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• 1+ year experience in behavioral health (preferred)
• Knowledge of PRP documentation requirements
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently in community settings

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs)
• Provide community-based skill-building sessions
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers
• Assist clients with employment, education, and daily living skills
• Attend supervision and team meetings
