JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician – Psychiatry

• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Location: Connellsville and Mon Valley, PA

• Service Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health

• Coverage Type: Clinical Only

• Coverage Period: June 2, 2025 – August 31, 2025

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults

• Patient Volume/Census: Up to 20 patients/day per facility (shared with NP)

• Admissions: Up to 10/week per facility

• Rounding: Included

• Phone Consults: Yes

• Case Mix: Adult psychiatry, detox, ED consults

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 20 beds (Mon Valley), 24 beds (Connellsville)

• Trauma Level: Not specified

• EMR System: Meditech (Mon Valley), CPSI (Connellsville)

• Office Equipment Available: Standard hospital equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner support

• Support Staff Available: Psychiatric NP

• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (under 2 weeks with clean file)

• Credentialing Timeline: Less than 2 weeks with clean file

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: TBD

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Airfare, rental car, and lodging covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Psychiatric evaluations

• Daily rounding

• Consults in medical floor, detox unit, and ED (as needed)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active PA license

• Certifications: BLS, DEA

• Experience: Minimum 1 year

• Other Qualifications: Board Certified; Meditech/CPSI experience preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and daily rounding

• Perform psych evaluations in ED, detox unit, and medical floors as needed

• Collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioner

• Provide coverage at two facilities through June; Connellsville only thereafter

• Complete documentation in Meditech and CPSI systems
